Parliment member Duminda speaks to Media

Colombo District Parliamentarian R. Duminda Silva states that the President should be reappointed, since he is taking the country towards development without allowing the country’s future to fall into darkness. He said this while joining a campaign to distribute leaflets in support of the President at Ambatale, Kolonnawa today. Under the campaign of distributing leaflets for President’s victory, a march was also organized from Ambatale Stupa to Kolonnawa junction. 

Yet another phase of the Daham Saviya programme of reconstructing places of worship of all religions implemented according to a concept of Colombo District MP R. Duminda Silva was held yesterday as well coinciding with the Duruthu Poya Day. Financial aid is provided for developing Buddhist Temples, Catholic churches, Hindu Kovils as well as Muslim mosques under the ‘Daham Saviya’ programme. Accordingly financial donation was granted to three Buddhist Temples under the Daham Saviya programme. MP R. Duminda Silva came first to the Kandy ancient Buddhist Temple in Gothatuwa and observed religious observances. Subsequently the MP also offered a financial donation for constructing the Temple’s monastery.
